Another sleepy winter's night here on the mountain. Baby Girl and I have been fighting off a nasty cold for a few days now. We get up and go on to work and to school (for us, same place) like troopers. Still, by 6 pm we have had it. Not sure of its the cold itself or the meds (likely both) that have us feeling so tired, I hate this time of year, I know that sounds terrible coming from Miss "Every Season Has It's Beauty" but hey, y'all, I am OVER IT.
I'm lying in bed typing away. She is snuggled next to me dreaming of spring (I hope). I'm ready for yard sales, flea markets, seed starting, and flower beds. I'm ready for painting under the shade tree, reading on the porch swing, and star gazing from the deck. Bring on the lighting bugs, the swimming pool, and guitars beneath the stars.
Go home, Old Man Winter. We're done.
Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Khevin!!!
DeleteHi Beth: Boy am I feeling you this morning. We were socked in with fog this morning down here in Atlanta, but the sun is streaming in the window, Thank You. I just don't know how I'm going to get any of my work done today because the temps will be mid 60s. Love both of your blogs.
ReplyDeleteTHank you for visiting! And I agree- i keep looking out my window instead of working...
DeleteHope you have a wonderful day!
I'm smiling as I read this. Today we had 60 degrees and sunshine--and lots of wind. Tomorrow? More of the same on tap but look out Thursday! This time of year can drive a person crazy. I'm ready to plant lettuce and taters, but looks like a little more snow and winter are heading to our hills. Take care of that cold, Beth, and keep willing Spring to come soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm ready to start planting, too! I know when I start that spring is coming....
